About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next chapter of an iconic American legacy—and we’re looking for a Body-in-White CAD Engineer Specialist to help bring vehicle concepts to life. In this role, you’ll support the design and definition of body structures that enable safe, manufacturable vehicles for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Body-in-White CAD models and assemblies to support vehicle development.
- Support design integration across teams to ensure parts fit, function, and align to project requirements.
- Develop and update drawings, model revisions, and documentation to support engineering milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing stakeholders to improve manufacturability and reduce downstream issues.
- Analyze design intent and geometry to support reviews, validation, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD tools commonly used for automotive body/structure work (e.g., Catia, NX, or similar).
- Strong understanding of automotive Body-in-White structures, assemblies, and design practices.
- Experience working with engineering drawings, revisions, and configuration management.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly during design reviews.
