About the Role

TECO Metal Products, LLC is seeking a CAD Drafter to create accurate technical drawings for roof curbs and related metal products. This full-time, on-site role in Dallas, Texas supports engineering and production by translating specifications into clear, build-ready plans.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret project specifications, customer requirements, and engineering direction
  • Create and revise technical drawings for roof curbs and associated components using CAD tools
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet structural, safety, and manufacturing requirements
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date drawing files and documentation for custom product modifications
  • Review drawings for quality, consistency, and readiness before releasing to the shop floor
  • Support design optimization to improve fabrication efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong technical drawing skills with the ability to produce precise, detailed plans
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and interpreting mechanical and/or structural specifications
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar applications
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings related to building systems
  • Relevant technical education or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field
  • Detail-oriented mindset, strong organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to partner with engineering, production, and other teams
  • Familiarity with drafting standards, industry codes, and customer specifications (preferred)
  • Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or construction-related industries is a plus
