About the Role
BB&E, an employee-owned civil and environmental engineering firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Engineering Technician to support our A&AS contract. This role will assist NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic with facilities design and construction efforts on-site at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate construction quality management activities for assigned projects
- Partner with the Construction Manager (CM) to review and assess quality requirements and documentation
- Support field activities related to inspections, quality checks, and construction coordination
- Help ensure project work aligns with applicable standards, specifications, and contract requirements
Requirements
- Experience supporting construction quality assurance or construction engineering activities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical requirements
- Comfort working on-site in a facilities construction environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project leadership and field teams
