About the Role
Join our team as a Cyber Security Engineer supporting the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) infrastructure within the Information Technology Solutions Division. In this role, you’ll help protect enterprise systems and information while working independently and collaboratively within the Cyber Security Program (CSP) and the Livermore Information Technology (LivIT) Program.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with the flexibility to work from home one or more days per week.
Responsibilities
- Respond to security threats and incidents to help safeguard enterprise systems and sensitive information
- Support day-to-day CSOC infrastructure operations and related security activities
- Collaborate with team members to investigate issues and support remediation efforts
- Assist with maintaining and improving security monitoring and operational readiness
Requirements
- Relevant cybersecurity knowledge and hands-on experience supporting security operations
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of incident response concepts and threat mitigation practices
- Experience supporting security tooling, monitoring, or CSOC-related infrastructure (preferred)
