About the Role

Join Google’s Data Center team as a Facilities Technician II focused on electrical systems. You’ll help operate, monitor, and maintain critical physical infrastructure—including power delivery, cooling support systems, and electrical distribution and control components—so our data centers run efficiently, safely, and reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical and related mechanical components that support data center operations
  • Monitor facility conditions and electrical systems, responding to issues to reduce downtime
  • Support power infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, electrical distribution, and control/monitoring equipment
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs using best practices
  • Ensure environmental and safety standards are met and escalate or remediate problems quickly
  • In abnormal conditions or emergencies, help manage performance impacts to minimize recovery time

Requirements

  • Experience maintaining or troubleshooting electrical systems in an industrial or mission-critical environment
  • Knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, and electrical control/monitoring systems
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and environmental compliance requirements
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform repairs and corrective actions under time constraints
  • Comfort working in a data center facility environment with rotating response needs as required
