About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, American-made mobility—and we’re looking for a Design Release Engineer to support Secondary Controller and software release activities. In this role, you’ll help ensure vehicle software and design deliverables are released with quality, traceability, and readiness for downstream teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage secondary controller design release activities and associated software release workflows
- Support verification of release readiness, including configuration, documentation, and traceability to requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, software, validation, and manufacturing stakeholders to align release content and timing
- Track issues, change requests, and release notes to ensure accurate communication across teams
- Maintain release artifacts and ensure compliance with internal processes and quality expectations
Requirements
- Experience with embedded software and controller software release processes
- Strong understanding of configuration management and release planning practices
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Comfort working with technical documentation, requirements traceability, and verification results
- Experience supporting automotive development cycles is a plus
