About the Role
Join the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) to strengthen our digital presence across websites and paid advertising channels. You’ll help publish advocacy-focused content, support website maintenance, and use analytics to improve engagement and campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- Publish and update legal and advocacy content on ALDF websites, including landing pages, action centers, and campaign pages.
- Maintain digital image and video assets in the media library, including selecting, cropping, and sizing visuals to meet brand standards.
- Perform daily website quality checks and ongoing maintenance to ensure strong user experience and mobile responsiveness.
- Support integrations with CRM and analytics platforms and assist with planning for future website improvements.
- Monitor performance metrics (traffic, downloads, clicks, and more) using tools like Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
- Create and support paid digital advertising efforts, including audience targeting, retargeting, and A/B testing.
- Develop ad copy and creative recommendations, track conversions and ROI, and optimize campaign results.
- Manage and optimize the organization’s Google Grant and coordinate with development, events, and program teams on marketing needs.
- Support intranet updates as assigned, including posting news, embedding videos, updating staff information, and adding graphics or tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field; or 3 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 3 years of digital communications and production experience.
- Experience with CMS platforms, including WordPress and Drupal.
- Proficiency in HTML; CSS and JavaScript experience is preferred.
- Experience launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
- Experience integrating with Salesforce is required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and comfort working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Interest in digital technology and a commitment to ALDF’s mission are preferred.
- Ability to travel occasionally (about 1–3 trips per year) for meetings and retreats.

- Starting annual salary of $71,509 for most locations (higher rates for select metro areas).
