About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of iconic American vehicles—powered by electric innovation and grounded in respect for people, customers, and community. We’re hiring a Direct Procurement Specialist to support interior commodity sourcing and supply strategy for our vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Own sourcing activities for assigned interior commodities, supporting cost, quality, and schedule targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and align supplier capabilities to program needs
- Manage supplier engagement activities, including RFQs, negotiations support, and ongoing performance tracking
- Support purchasing strategy development, including supplier selection and risk mitigation
- Monitor supply continuity and help resolve issues that could impact production timelines
Requirements
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles—preferably in automotive or manufacturing environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across teams
- Comfort working with data to track supplier performance, costs, and timelines
- Knowledge of purchasing processes such as RFQ/RFP, negotiation, and supplier management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving product development environment
