About the Role
Blake Willson Group (BWG) is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to support federal general ledger accounting and strengthen financial stewardship for mission-critical programs. You’ll apply deep expertise to help teams implement and operate financial management solutions that support welfare, defense, and security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on federal general ledger accounting practices, policies, and processes
- Support compliance and accuracy for ledger entries, reconciliations, and reporting activities
- Advise stakeholders on best practices for financial controls and audit readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate accounting requirements into actionable procedures
- Review and validate accounting documentation to ensure alignment with applicable standards and guidance
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in federal general ledger accounting
- Strong working knowledge of federal financial management concepts and processes
- Experience supporting reconciliations, reporting, and/or audit-related activities
- Ability to communicate complex accounting topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality accounting guidance in mission environments
