Finance Director (Advertising & AI) | Full-Time | Remote/Hybrid

About the Role

Microsoft’s AI (MAI) business is expanding quickly, covering a portfolio that includes advertising, subscriptions, and consumption. The Owned & Operated (O&O) Finance team supports Browser, Search, News, and AI Ads Monetization with strategic financial leadership across planning and investment decisions.

As Finance Director, you’ll lead a highly visible function and partner with Consumer business executives to shape financial strategy, optimize investments, and guide key growth choices. You’ll bring strong management skills, cross-functional influence, and the ability to translate complex analysis into practical frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own FP&A and long-range planning for O&O initiatives across Browser, Search, News, and AI Ads Monetization
• Build and maintain growth frameworks, including performance modeling and investment prioritization
• Drive transformational finance projects and support strategic decision-making
• Conduct competitive analytics and translate insights into actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with external partners and internal stakeholders to support growth and strategic investment
• Lead and develop finance talent to strengthen execution and cross-team alignment

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in finance (FP&A, planning, and strategic analysis)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, decision-ready frameworks
• Demonstrated cross-functional partnership experience with business and technical teams
• Experience supporting competitive analysis and investment planning
• Thought leadership and effective communication skills across executive audiences
