About the Role

Kobalt Labs is a Series A AI startup building software that automates risk and compliance workflows for fintechs and banks. Our system ingests contracts and documentation, internal policies, legal commitments, and historical assessments to identify, surface, and track risk—while keeping partner diligence cycles to about one-tenth of the usual time.

You’ll work with our founding team to help design and ship full-stack product features that power the reasoning engine and the workflows around it.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain full-stack web applications that support risk and compliance automation
  • Design APIs and data flows that connect the reasoning engine to user-facing experiences
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to translate requirements into reliable features
  • Improve performance, reliability, and usability across the stack
  • Own engineering tasks end-to-end, from implementation to testing and deployment

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering full-stack software in production environments
  • Strong fundamentals in frontend and backend development
  • Comfort working with APIs, databases, and integrations
  • Ability to collaborate closely with a small team and move quickly
  • Experience building for data-driven workflows is a plus

Benefits

  • Annual salary range of $240,000–$270,000
  • Equity package (0.5%–1%)
