About the Role
CHANEL is seeking a strategic, people-first leader to shape and elevate the Brand’s equity in the United States across three key categories: Fragrance, Skincare, and Makeup. You will connect modern consumer expectations with CHANEL’s heritage, strengthening brand desirability and relevance while driving data-informed, client-centric growth.
Responsibilities
- Steward CHANEL brand equity by ensuring initiatives reflect the House’s creative vision, heritage, and brand standards.
- Translate global strategies into locally impactful plans aligned with US market realities—while sharing US insights back to global teams.
- Lead end-to-end integrated marketing campaign development and execution in partnership with Brand Communication, Digital, Client Experience, Artistic, and Retail stakeholders.
- Build always-on, multi-touchpoint connection across the client journey (events, digital activations, retail experiences, and services) to elevate client lifetime value.
- Guide category teams to balance long-term equity building with short-term performance, including A&P budget oversight by axis and ROI monitoring.
- Commission and interpret consumer research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to turn insights into clear action plans.
- Ensure seamless online and offline client experiences—from discovery and in-store moments to events and post-purchase engagement.
- Inspire and develop high-performing teams through mentorship, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Lead in a composable marketing model, adapting team structures around outcomes as AI and new capabilities reshape marketing work.
- Represent the voice of the US market by providing sharp insights that influence global strategy and innovation priorities.
Requirements
- Deep fluency in Fragrance, Skincare, and Makeup category dynamics, competitive landscapes, and consumer motivations.
- Proven ability to build premium luxury brand equity in a diverse, competitive US environment with strong execution discipline.
- Strong data and insights capability, with experience translating research and customer signals into measurable action plans.
- Omni-channel client journey expertise across digital and physical touchpoints, including service and experience design.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including budget management and performance/ROI tracking.
- Successful people leadership experience—attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
- Comfort leading through influence in complex stakeholder environments and collaborating effectively with global and regional partners.
