About the Role
Join our State and Local Platforms and Data Managed Services team as a Cloud Architect. You’ll design, implement, and manage cloud solutions for multiple client environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure. This role is not limited to a single client—expect to balance several projects and ongoing maintenance responsibilities while meeting strict SLAs.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to customer sites. The ideal candidate is located within commuting distance of Columbia, SC.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver cloud infrastructure solutions across diverse client environments
- Ensure security, scalability, and resiliency across managed cloud platforms
- Optimize performance and cost while maintaining service reliability
- Support compliance requirements and maintain alignment with client and regulatory standards
- Manage ongoing maintenance work and multiple concurrent projects under SLA commitments
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve platform capabilities and client outcomes
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and managing cloud architectures in managed services environments
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud (Oracle) and related infrastructure concepts
- Ability to build secure, compliant, and resilient cloud solutions
- Experience with performance optimization and operational support for cloud workloads
- Comfort working across multiple clients and priorities in an SLA-driven setting
- Based within commuting distance of Columbia, SC; periodic travel to customer facilities may be required
