About the Role
Red Cell Partners is building and investing in technology-led companies across healthcare, cyber, and national security. DEFCON AI is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to support reliable, secure IT operations in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain core systems to ensure stability, availability, and performance
- Support infrastructure and user access needs across servers, endpoints, and related services
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis to prevent repeat issues
- Assist with security best practices, system hardening, and access controls
- Document configurations, procedures, and operational processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a system administrator in a production environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows and/or Linux systems
- Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls)
- Working knowledge of security practices such as least privilege and audit logging
- Ability to communicate clearly and work independently as a 1099 contractor
