About the Role

Scout Motors is looking for a Lead Range and Energy Consumption Engineer to help define and optimize how our electric and range-extender powertrains perform in the real world. You’ll work on the engineering models and validation needed to deliver accurate range predictions, efficient energy use, and a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain range and energy consumption models for EV and Harvester™ range-extender systems
  • Analyze vehicle efficiency data and translate findings into actionable engineering improvements
  • Support validation planning and execution, including test design and result interpretation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align performance targets with requirements and constraints
  • Drive continuous improvements to measurement methods, assumptions, and reporting

Requirements

  • Experience in EV efficiency, energy consumption, and/or range estimation engineering
  • Strong data analysis skills and comfort working with engineering datasets
  • Familiarity with vehicle powertrain performance metrics and validation approaches
  • Ability to communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
