About the Role

Scout Motors is looking for a Specialist, OBD Requirements Engineer (Testing) to help define and validate onboard diagnostics requirements for our electrified powertrains. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our systems meet technical standards and perform reliably in real-world driving conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and maintain OBD requirements for testing across relevant vehicle systems
  • Translate engineering needs into clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Support verification planning and coordinate with testing teams to ensure coverage and traceability
  • Analyze test results and requirement performance, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering stakeholders to align on diagnostics behavior and validation approach

Requirements

  • Experience with OBD/onboard diagnostics requirements, validation, and/or testing
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic concepts and verification/validation practices
  • Ability to work with requirement documentation and maintain traceability
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in an engineering environment
