About the Role
Join our energy client as an Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Advisor, supporting workforce health protection and regulatory compliance across operational and office environments. This role is 100% remote and offers a 3–6 month contract-to-hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational health risk assessments, including exposure-based evaluations, site gap analyses, and self-verification activities
- Deliver statutory and corporate medical surveillance (pre-placement, periodic, and exit medicals)
- Provide clinical case management within scope, including triage, documentation, follow-up, and appropriate referrals
- Implement and monitor controls for occupational health stressors such as noise, heat stress, ergonomics, fatigue, and chemical exposures
- Maintain audit and inspection readiness through accurate records, compliance documentation, and corrective action tracking
- Support employee and contractor occupational health training and awareness programs
- Manage drug and alcohol testing programs, including chain-of-custody and incident-related testing
- Help strengthen emergency medical response capability, including first-aid team training and readiness
- Review industrial hygiene reports and share findings with relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Nursing or medical degree with specialization in Occupational Health
- Experience delivering occupational health services in industrial or operational settings, including medical surveillance and health risk management
- Knowledge of occupational health legislation and compliance
- Strong clinical assessment and case management skills
- Ability to identify health risks, support controls, and prepare for audits
- Training delivery and emergency response preparedness experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Health Nurse with current professional council registration
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
