About the Role
Wolverine Construction—headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan—has an opening for a Pre-Engineered Iron Worker to help build industrial and commercial structures with a focus on safety, quality, and craftsmanship. You’ll play a key role in erecting structural steel and ensuring the building frame is properly aligned before follow-on work begins.
Responsibilities
- Erect steel columns and complete proper bolt connections between rafters and columns
- Verify the building frame is square and plumb prior to proceeding with subsequent construction activities
- Assist with structural steel layout and preparation to support accurate installation
- Follow jobsite safety standards and best practices while working with team members
Requirements
- Experience working as an iron worker or in structural steel erection
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and steel layout information
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate alignment and connections
- Commitment to jobsite safety and teamwork
