About the Role
The Department of Design and Construction (DDC), Safety and Site Support Division, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for the Office of Quality Assurance. Reporting to the Deputy Director and Engineer-In-Charge, you will help ensure that materials and products used in DDC capital construction projects meet DDC specifications and contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform materials testing and fabrication inspection services for capital construction projects
- Verify that installed materials and products comply with DDC specifications and contract standards
- Support quality assurance activities to reduce defects and ensure project compliance
- Document inspection findings and assist with quality-related reporting
Requirements
- Must meet the DDC civil service eligibility criteria: permanent in the Assistant Mechanical Engineer title, or be reachable on the DDC open-competitive list (exam #3109 or #6015)
- Provide proof of eligibility (e.g., a copy of the Notice of Result card) or indicate permanent status in the title
- Ability to qualify for an interview based on civil service requirements
Work Location & Schedule
- Full-time (35 hours per week)
