About the Role
Redwood Materials is building a circular supply chain for batteries—recovering, reusing, and recycling end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap to produce battery components domestically. We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help turn data into reliable, decision-ready analytics that support our mission and growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain analytics engineering assets (e.g., data models, transformations, and curated datasets).
- Partner with data, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into measurable data products.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through testing, monitoring, and clear documentation.
- Optimize performance and maintainability of pipelines and warehouse assets.
- Support governance practices, including lineage, access patterns, and reusable standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer or in analytics engineering with strong ownership of data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and modern data transformation tools (e.g., dbt or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of data warehouse/lakehouse concepts and data pipeline orchestration.
- Strong understanding of data quality practices (testing, validation, and monitoring).
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
