About the Role
Blake Willson Group (BWG) is seeking a Senior Associate Federal General Ledger Accountant to support mission-focused financial stewardship. You will help ensure accurate, compliant federal accounting and contribute to technology-enabled improvements in financial management.
Responsibilities
- Support federal general ledger accounting activities, including account maintenance and reconciliation support
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities for assigned ledgers and reporting needs
- Help validate transactions and ensure proper classification in accordance with applicable federal accounting requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve the quality of financial data
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation supporting audit readiness
Requirements
- Experience with federal general ledger accounting or federal financial management
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation practices and financial controls
- Working understanding of federal accounting concepts and compliance expectations
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams
