Senior Manager, Accounting & Financial Systems (Hybrid) - San Francisco, CA

About the Role

Brex is seeking a Senior Manager to lead and improve key accounting and financial systems capabilities that help finance teams move faster with confidence. You’ll help build scalable processes and technology that strengthen real-time visibility, streamline financial operations, and reduce manual work.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance accounting and financial system workflows to support accurate reporting and efficient close processes
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements, drive system improvements, and ensure smooth operational execution
• Evaluate and implement process automation to reduce manual effort and improve data quality
• Support governance, controls, and documentation to maintain reliable financial operations
• Identify opportunities to standardize and scale financial system practices across teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, finance operations, or financial systems (e.g., ERP/accounting platforms)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and how systems impact reporting accuracy
• Experience improving workflows and partnering with stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes
• Comfort working in fast-moving environments with a continuous-improvement mindset
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence without relying on authority
