About the Role
Roblox is seeking a Senior or Principal Data Scientist to join our Discovery team. In this role, you’ll help build data-driven solutions that improve how people explore, create, and connect through immersive 3D experiences—at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy machine learning and experimentation frameworks to improve discovery experiences
- Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to translate goals into measurable data science outcomes
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Own model development life cycles, including evaluation, monitoring, and iteration
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Strong background in applied data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Experience building and validating recommendation, ranking, or discovery systems
- Proficiency with Python and common data/ML tooling
- Demonstrated experience with experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) and metrics design
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
