About the Role
Diamond Foundry is building the manufacturing foundation for next-generation computing and clean technology—turning greenhouse gases into high-quality single-crystal diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. We’re seeking a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for capital equipment and facilities systems across our expanding operations in the Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical design efforts for capital equipment and facility infrastructure, coordinating across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines
- Develop pragmatic, buildable solutions for equipment and systems architecture from concept through implementation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability goals
- Support planning and execution of multi-site engineering initiatives aligned with our growth roadmap
Requirements
- Senior/principal-level experience designing mechanical systems for industrial capital equipment and/or facilities
- Strong ability to work across engineering disciplines and translate requirements into practical designs
- Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in fast-moving, high-impact environments
- Solid understanding of engineering design processes, documentation, and execution
