Strategic Sourcing Lead (Mechanical Data Center OFE) | Full-Time | Hybrid

About the Role

Anthropic is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to develop and execute procurement strategies that support the growth of our Data Center mechanical Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) footprint. You will own end-to-end sourcing for essential cooling and HVAC-related equipment, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely availability and strong supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing strategy for mechanical cooling infrastructure, including air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, CDUs, fan coil modules, rear door heat exchangers, and HAC units
• Partner with engineering, demand planning, construction, and third parties to align equipment needs with project timelines
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships to improve availability, lead times, and overall procurement outcomes
• Coordinate procurement activities across the full lifecycle—from planning through purchase and delivery
• Support cross-functional decision-making by providing sourcing insights and recommendations

Requirements

• Experience owning procurement or strategic sourcing for complex mechanical equipment
• Strong understanding of data center or mission-critical infrastructure supply chains (cooling/HVAC preferred)
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate effectively
• Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, planning, and construction stakeholders
