About the Role
La Familia is seeking a dedicated SUD Counselor to support individuals impacted by substance use challenges. This role is based at the City of Merced office and works under supervision to help clients progress toward recovery and stability.
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling and support services to individuals with substance use disorders
- Work with supervisors and the care team to support client treatment goals
- Maintain professional documentation and follow agency procedures
- Support clients with resources and referrals to promote long-term recovery
- Participate in case planning and other program activities as assigned
Requirements
- Relevant experience or training in substance use disorder counseling (SUD)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients
- Ability to follow program guidelines and maintain accurate records
- Commitment to client confidentiality and professional ethics
