About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations for a manufacturing facility that builds custom power distribution equipment. You’ll oversee materials planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance, while partnering closely with operations, engineering, project management, production, sales, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day supply chain execution across materials planning, procurement, and inventory control
- Lead and develop the Buyer Planner team
- Improve inventory performance and service levels through continuous planning and process enhancements
- Strengthen supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance using established metrics
- Reduce supply risk by supporting sourcing reviews, risk assessments, and mitigation planning
- Coordinate cross-functional priorities to ensure materials are available when needed
- Travel up to 20% for supplier visits, industry events, and occasional customer meetings
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment
- Strong materials planning, purchasing, and inventory management skills
- Experience managing teams and driving performance improvements
- Ability to collaborate effectively across operations, engineering, project management, production, sales, and quality
- Comfort with supplier performance management and supply risk reduction
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
