About the Role
Rocket Lab is seeking a Test and Launch Operations Engineer I to support end-to-end launch and spacecraft operations. In this role, you’ll help ensure systems are properly tested, validated, and ready for launch activities across Rocket Lab’s vehicles and space systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with test execution and verification activities to confirm system performance
- Support launch operations by preparing equipment, procedures, and operational readiness checks
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve test outcomes
- Contribute to documentation and reporting for test results and operational status
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards during testing and launch-related work
Requirements
- Experience supporting engineering test activities or operations in a technical environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Comfort working with procedures, technical documentation, and structured checklists
- Basic understanding of test/operations workflows and data review
