About the Role
As Vice President of Operations for the South Region, you’ll provide executive leadership for data center operations across multiple states and markets. You’ll be accountable for operational performance, reliability, safety, customer satisfaction, financial results, and the execution of the company’s enterprise operations strategy.
You’ll translate enterprise priorities into regional operating plans, balance resources across markets, and manage portfolio-level risk to ensure each market can meet current customer commitments and support future growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the regional operations strategy aligned to enterprise objectives, customer commitments, and growth plans
- Provide executive oversight of critical facility operations across multiple states, markets, and campuses
- Translate enterprise priorities into measurable operating plans, performance expectations, and accountability mechanisms
- Ensure consistent 24x7 execution of standards across maintenance, infrastructure reliability, safety, security, service delivery, logistics, incident management, and business continuity
- Own regional performance across operational, customer, safety, financial, and workforce goals; review KPIs such as uptime, SLA performance, incident trends, capacity utilization, and customer satisfaction
- Lead incident escalation and ensure thorough investigations, corrective actions, and lessons learned are applied region-wide
- Manage regional budget performance, including forecasting, labor planning, capital priorities, and cost optimization
- Lead regional workforce planning and staffing model decisions based on capacity, workload, technical capability, customer requirements, and operational risk
- Coach and develop Senior Directors and regional operations leaders through talent reviews, succession planning, and performance calibration
- Serve as an executive operational sponsor for strategic customers, participating in service reviews, escalations, and operational planning
- Support growth readiness for new markets, campus expansions, new buildings, customer deployments, and transitions from commissioning to steady-state operations
- Champion safety, security, compliance, and operational governance; reinforce stop-work authority and documentation/readiness expectations
Requirements
- Proven executive leadership experience overseeing complex, multi-site operations (preferred: data centers or mission-critical environments)
- Strong track record of improving reliability, uptime, and service delivery while meeting safety and compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasting, labor planning, and cost optimization
- Experience leading incident response, investigations, and cross-market corrective action programs
- Ability to develop leaders and build organizational capability through structured talent and performance processes
- Customer-focused leadership with experience in executive stakeholder management and operational escalations
- Strong operational risk management skills, including governance, controls, and continuous improvement
