About the Role
Northmarq is looking for an experienced Agency Underwriter with affordable/conventional lending experience to join our Agency team in our Bloomington office. In this role, you’ll help manage key parts of the loan process—from application through closing—supporting commercial real estate investors with expert underwriting.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate loan applications from underwriting through closing
- Coordinate and manage underwriting activities to support timely deal progression
- Assess deal details and documentation to support credit and risk decisions
- Partner with internal teams to ensure requirements are met throughout the process
- Maintain accurate records and support a smooth, compliant closing workflow
Requirements
- Prior underwriting experience with affordable and/or conventional lending
- Strong understanding of loan application and closing workflows
- Ability to analyze information carefully and make sound recommendations
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
