About the Role
NYCHA is seeking a Construction Project Manager Level 3 / Asbestos Project Supervisor to lead asbestos abatement work for housing developments. In this role, you will oversee vendor activities and help ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Direct and monitor asbestos vendor abatement activities across NYCHA properties
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local asbestos regulations and program requirements
- Coordinate project oversight in line with NYC DEP, NYS DOL, OSHA, and EPA requirements
- Support effective project execution through clear communication and documentation standards
Requirements
- Experience overseeing asbestos abatement or related environmental remediation projects
- Working knowledge of asbestos regulatory requirements (NYC DEP, NYS DOL, OSHA, EPA)
- Ability to supervise contractors/vendors and ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards
