About the Role
Upstart is looking for an Asset Quality & Model Analyst to help strengthen how we evaluate credit risk and model performance. In this role, you’ll use data and analytical methods to support fair, accurate lending decisions across our AI-driven platform.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze asset quality trends to identify signals of performance change
- Evaluate model outputs and performance metrics to support ongoing improvements
- Partner with internal teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
- Assist with investigations, reporting, and documentation related to model and portfolio health
- Support experimentation and validation efforts to improve prediction quality
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data analysis
- Comfort with statistical concepts and model performance evaluation
- Excellent communication skills to explain insights clearly to technical and non-technical partners
- Experience in credit risk, lending analytics, or financial services is a plus
