About the Role
Colorado School of Mines is seeking an Assistant Director of Budget and Financial Planning to partner with executive leadership, faculty, and staff. In this role, you’ll help advance the university’s mission through data-informed budget development, resource allocation, and decision support that strengthens long-term financial strategy.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic budgeting and forecasting processes for university priorities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze financial data and inform planning decisions
- Assist with resource allocation recommendations and scenario planning
- Provide decision support through clear reporting, analysis, and ongoing budget insights
- Help maintain and improve financial planning workflows to support accuracy and transparency
Requirements
- Experience in budget, financial planning, or financial analysis in a complex organization
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information
- Proficiency with budgeting tools and data analysis techniques
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
