About the Role

The Office of Mental Health Advocacy Service is seeking an Attorney to support our mission of ensuring clients’ voices are heard and that they receive every right and remedy provided under the law. This role focuses on delivering high-quality legal counsel and representation while addressing systemic issues affecting multiple clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to clients involved in mental health advocacy matters
  • Identify and help address systemic legal issues that require remedies for more than one client
  • Serve as a resource and clearinghouse for information related to adults and children with mental health diagnoses and children in need of care
  • Assist with training for individuals and agencies as needed

Requirements

  • Current Louisiana license to practice law
