About the Role
BillionToOne is seeking an Automation Service Engineering Manager to lead automation-focused service engineering efforts supporting oncology diagnostics. In this role, you’ll help ensure reliable, high-quality performance of automation systems that enable breakthrough testing and improved patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop automation service engineering activities across installation, support, and continuous improvement.
- Own service engineering processes, troubleshooting workflows, and escalation paths to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support field readiness, documentation, and operational excellence.
- Drive root-cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Requirements
- Experience leading service engineering, automation engineering, or similar technical operations roles.
- Strong background in automation systems and troubleshooting complex hardware/software workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach engineers, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments (healthcare preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical details for diverse stakeholders.
