About the Role
As a Desktop Systems Software Engineer II, you’ll take ownership of how our macOS and Windows endpoints behave, including health, configuration, and reliability at the systems level. You’ll also act as a technical bridge between Corporate IT and AlphaSense product engineering, focusing on how AlphaSense desktop applications perform on managed devices.
Responsibilities
- Own endpoint health, configuration, and behavior for managed macOS and Windows devices
- Collaborate with Corporate IT and product engineering to understand and improve desktop application behavior on client systems
- Reproduce, isolate, and help resolve issues users encounter in AlphaSense desktop applications
- Work in an environment using MDM tooling at scale (Kandji/Ir u and Microsoft Intune)
- Support Zero Trust security enforcement using CrowdStrike and Cloudflare
- Contribute to improving the quality and reliability of the employee experience with AlphaSense desktop products
Requirements
- Strong desktop operating system knowledge across macOS and Windows
- Experience troubleshooting complex, ambiguous client-side software issues
- Ability to reproduce and isolate problems in managed endpoint environments
- Comfort partnering across IT and engineering teams to drive technical root-cause analysis
- Curiosity and attention to detail when evaluating how software behaves on the end user device
