About the Role
Base is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to join our data experts team and turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. In this role, you’ll help shape our reporting platform from requirements gathering and data ingestion through data modeling, validation, and dashboard delivery—supporting strategic decisions and operational excellence as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end BI lifecycle, from challenging and refining business requirements to solution design, deployment, and end-user adoption
- Partner with business stakeholders and data engineers to translate business goals into reliable technical solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions using our modern stack (AWS Redshift, AWS RDS, Microsoft Power BI, Git, and AI tools)
- Build and maintain data models and create interactive Power BI dashboards
- Deliver both ad-hoc analyses and automated reporting that empowers business teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence
- Strong understanding of data warehousing architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT best practices
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex querying and performance tuning
- Expertise with BI and visualization tools—Microsoft Power BI required
- Proficiency with version control (Git)
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving startup environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business outcomes (and vice versa)
- Proactive, detail-oriented mindset for working with data
- Nice to have: hands-on experience with AWS components such as S3, Glue, Iceberg, and Redshift
- Nice to have: experience building AI-driven data structures
