About the Role
OptN is an AI-driven EdTech company helping universities connect with high school students before they apply. With a live product, partner institutions, and more than 20,000 students served, we’re looking for a founder-type CEO to scale the business, drive Series A readiness, and lead OptN into its next growth phase.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute company strategy, vision, and day-to-day leadership
- Lead fundraising efforts and support investor outreach to close the Series A
- Build and strengthen go-to-market capabilities across sales, marketing, and partnerships
- Represent OptN as the public face of the company to universities, media, and the EdTech community
- Partner closely with the founding technical team and the board to deliver on key milestones
Requirements
- Experience as a founder, co-founder, GM, or growth-stage operator in a tech or EdTech startup
- Knowledge of the higher education buyer journey, particularly admissions or enrollment
- Demonstrated ability to raise venture capital (and willingness to do it again)
- Strong focus on product-market fit, unit economics, and customer-driven outcomes
- Comfort with equity-first compensation while building lasting business value
