About the Role
The Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors (LSLBC) protects public health and safety by promoting fair, lawful contracting practices and maintaining integrity across the construction industry. As a Compliance Investigator (1–3), you will investigate alleged violations of Louisiana’s Contractors’ Licensing Law and help ensure compliance on construction projects statewide.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent investigations into suspected violations of the Contractors’ Licensing Law
- Perform field-based compliance activities across worksites throughout Louisiana
- Complete legal and regulatory research to support enforcement actions
- Prepare clear, accurate investigation reports and supporting documentation
- Partner with senior enforcement leadership and follow investigation direction as needed
Requirements
- Ability to investigate allegations and gather facts in a professional, objective manner
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance concepts related to construction licensing
- Experience conducting research and preparing written reports
- Comfort working in the field and traveling statewide as required
