About the Role
Hermeus is seeking a Components Manufacturing Engineer to help establish and scale advanced manufacturing capabilities at our facility. This is a first-of-its-kind role focused on building repeatable, high-performance processes for critical hardware—moving from concept to production with strong ownership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and scale advanced manufacturing processes for precision mechanical components
- Own component fabrication end-to-end, from design-for-manufacture through production readiness
- Drive process development, validation, and continuous improvement for critical hardware
- Collaborate across engineering and production teams to translate requirements into manufacturable solutions
- Support optimization of quality, throughput, and manufacturability as systems evolve
Requirements
- Experience developing manufacturing processes for mechanical or precision components
- Strong design-for-manufacture (DFM) and process planning skills
- Practical knowledge of continuous improvement methods for production environments
- Ability to take ownership of complex technical work from concept through production
- Comfort working in a fast-iterating, prototype-to-production culture
