About the Role
Virginia Housing is seeking a Construction Loan Accountant to support our Rental Housing Division. In this role, you’ll help ensure construction and permanent loans are accurately processed and closed in coordination with lending staff and the legal team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the closing of construction and permanent loans with lending staff and legal partners
- Process monthly construction draws and related accounting activities
- Coordinate title endorsements and support the wire transfer process
- Maintain accurate loan documentation and support timely, compliant transaction processing
Requirements
- Experience in accounting or loan-related accounting (construction lending preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple loan tasks with accuracy
- Comfort working with internal teams, documentation, and time-sensitive deadlines
- Professional communication skills for coordinating with lending and legal stakeholders
