About the Role
Reporting to the SVP and General Counsel, the Corporate Counsel will lead complex legal matters from early case assessment through final resolution. You’ll also help improve how legal services are delivered across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s litigation portfolio, including employment, premises liability, personal injury, commercial disputes, and other matters.
- Partner with the SVP and General Counsel to develop litigation strategy and direct outside counsel from claim inception through resolution.
- Oversee litigation budgets, discovery, litigation holds, settlement strategy, reporting, and overall legal spend.
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, including procurement, marketing, construction, consulting, confidentiality, and other strategic business contracts.
Requirements
- J.D. and active license to practice law (state requirements as applicable).
- Experience managing litigation matters and coordinating outside counsel.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills across commercial agreements.
- Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining organized case documentation.
