About the Role
Fastly is building a more trustworthy internet. As an Architect in the Office of the CTO, you’ll help shape technical direction and design approaches that enable secure, reliable, and high-performance digital experiences—powered by Fastly’s edge cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate architectures that support programmable, agile software development
- Partner with engineering and leadership to translate technical strategy into practical systems
- Drive reliability and security considerations into platform and application delivery
- Assess tradeoffs across performance, scalability, and operational complexity
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience delivering architectural designs for complex distributed systems
- Strong understanding of security and reliability principles in production environments
- Experience collaborating across teams to align technical decisions with business outcomes
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
