About the Role
First Merchants Bank is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect our technology assets by strengthening system and network access controls. This is a hybrid role with two days per week in the office at our Daleville Data Center in Daleville, Indiana. Candidates should be able to reliably commute to the location.
Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and implement corporate network firewall systems.
- Review and support vulnerability assessments, including remediation coordination.
- Collaborate with IT and IS teams to deliver security improvements and day-to-day security operations.
- Support encryption methodologies and systems/network security initiatives.
- Recommend enhancements and technology purchases aligned with industry best practices.
Requirements
- Experience supporting firewall administration and network security controls.
- Knowledge of vulnerability assessment processes and remediation practices.
- Understanding of encryption concepts and secure configuration of systems and networks.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT and IS teams in a fast-paced environment.
