About the Role
Join Checkr to lead engineering for the Verifications team, building and scaling a broad set of screening products that help customers make informed decisions across critical moments—employment, housing, transportation, childcare, and more.
You’ll help drive a mission-focused engineering organization that tackles complex technical challenges with innovative solutions, supporting customers including Uber, Airbnb, DoorDash, Amazon, and others.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor engineers to deliver high-quality product outcomes for the Verifications platform
- Drive engineering strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across the team
- Partner with product, design, and data teams to translate requirements into scalable systems
- Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of verification workflows and services
- Promote effective engineering practices, including planning, reviews, and operational excellence
Requirements
- Experience managing engineering teams and delivering software at scale
- Strong technical background in building and operating production systems
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive execution
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
- Experience with verification, risk, or data-intensive systems is a plus
