About the Role
Phoenix Tailings is building a cleaner, more sustainable supply chain for critical and rare earth metals. As a Senior Process Engineer specializing in hydrometallurgy, you’ll help design and improve processes that enable efficient recovery of valuable metals while supporting our mission to rethink legacy mining and metals production.
Responsibilities
- Own and advance hydrometallurgical process development from concept through scale-up
- Develop process flowsheets, mass balance models, and performance assumptions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and validate process performance
- Support engineering documentation, test planning, and data interpretation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, efficiency, and reliability
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in hydrometallurgy and metals processing
- Strong fundamentals in chemical engineering, unit operations, and process modeling
- Experience translating lab or pilot results into practical process improvements
- Ability to work with technical teams and communicate clearly across disciplines
