About the Role
Join our team as an Enterprise Cloud Platforms Engineer to design, build, and run scalable compute platforms across a hybrid environment spanning on-prem data centers and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll work hands-on with Google Compute Engine, cloud-native virtualization, VMware, Unix/Linux operating systems, and workload migrations between on-prem and cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and support enterprise compute platforms across on-prem and GCP environments
- Manage and optimize cloud-native and traditional virtualization stacks, including Google Compute Engine and VMware vSphere/vCenter
- Drive Unix/Linux workload migrations and support operational readiness across hybrid systems
- Translate architectural designs into automated, production-ready solutions
- Promote standardization and automation to improve reliability and operational excellence
Requirements
- Strong Unix/Linux systems engineering experience
- Experience operating or engineering compute platforms in Google Cloud (GCE) and/or similar cloud environments
- Hands-on knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere/vCenter
- Proven ability to automate infrastructure and support production operations
- Experience with workload migration across cloud and on-prem environments
