About the Role
Seven Seas Water Group is seeking an Exuma Operator to support safe, reliable day-to-day operations at our water and wastewater treatment facilities. In this role, you’ll take ownership of monitoring plant performance, performing routine operations and maintenance tasks, and responding to process or equipment issues as directed.
Responsibilities
- Take shift responsibility for monitoring plant operations and ensuring equipment runs safely
- Start up and shut down equipment as needed, following established procedures
- Make minor process adjustments and support troubleshooting for operational issues
- Complete daily checklists and accurately record plant data flows, pressures, and measurements
- Conduct routine equipment and process observations to identify leaks, unsafe conditions, abnormal readings, and unusual sounds or temperatures
- Report improper equipment performance or safety concerns to the supervisor and document issues in IFS or KPA
- Replace consumables such as filter elements and chemicals
- Follow environmental health and safety training requirements and safe work practices
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance efforts, including mechanical and electrical repairs as directed
- Assist with equipment service and repairs, and help maintain a clean and safe work area
- Track inventory and report low items to support adequate spare parts and consumables on site
- Provide customer-oriented communication when there is normal customer contact and relay feedback as appropriate
Requirements
- Ability to learn and understand plant processes, including mechanical and electrical systems
- Alarm response capability, including clearing and resetting basic alarms when appropriate
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with willingness to develop systematic troubleshooting skills
- Comfort learning and using HMI functionality for typical start-ups, shut downs, and process adjustments
- Ability to perform certain tasks with limited supervision once trained, while knowing when to seek support
- Clear communication and documentation skills, including ability to identify equipment using tagging systems and nomenclature
- Self-motivated interest in training and continuous learning
- Demonstrated initiative for task prioritization and staying productive during independent work
