About the Role
Microsoft’s Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team builds the core infrastructure and foundational technologies behind the Intelligent Cloud. Within SCHIE, Compute Silicon & Manufacturing Engineering (CSME) drives the design, development, manufacturing, and packaging of Microsoft’s advanced computer chips.
We’re looking for a Fabric IP Designer to help create and deliver the next generation of silicon IP that supports Microsoft cloud infrastructure at global scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate fabric IP components for next-generation compute platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and systems teams to define requirements and integration plans
- Support verification, bring-up, and performance/debug activities throughout development
- Contribute to documentation, design reviews, and continuous improvement of IP development processes
Requirements
- Experience designing hardware/fabric IP in a semiconductor or silicon engineering environment
- Strong understanding of digital design and system-level integration concepts
- Ability to work effectively with verification and validation workflows
- Clear communication skills for collaborating across engineering disciplines
