About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for Microsoft AI & Data, you’ll help clients turn GenAI ambitions into enterprise-scale results. You’ll partner closely with senior functional and technical leaders to prototype quickly and deliver working solutions that create measurable business impact from day one.
Responsibilities
- Embed with client teams to understand business goals and technical needs
- Rapidly prototype and build GenAI-enabled applications and data-driven capabilities
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into working software
- Engage confidently with senior leaders to communicate progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes
- Deliver solutions using pod-based execution and vertical expertise
Requirements
- Strong engineering fundamentals with experience building production-ready software
- Practical experience with AI and data technologies (including GenAI development)
- Ability to work at pace—moving quickly while maintaining quality and precision
- Comfort partnering with clients and senior technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a bias toward shipping
